BRASS FUSION
The Brass Fusion
is a chamber ensemble comprising of five instrumentalists; two
Trumpets, French Horn, Trombone and Bass Trombone or Tuba.
The smallest
configuration in which ABV performs is the brass quintet and
under special circumstances the ensemble has the capacity to
incorporate as many as twelve brass players.
Brass Fusion
sources its musicians from some of the best brass instrumentalists
in Australia.
Musical genres
covered by Brass Fusion are extensive, ranging from sixteenth
century church and ceremonial music, to twentieth century jazz
and popular standards.
Whether performing
the beautiful antiphonal music of Gabrielli in St. Mary’s
Cathedral, or jazzing it up at the Sony Christmas Party, Brass
Fusion is quickly becoming renowned for their shimmering and
versatile performances.
